About the Role :
As a Deputy Manager - Collections you will be responsible for managing and streamlining the collections process in your assigned area will be a major responsibility of your position. In addition to managing a group of collection agents, your duties will include creating plans to reduce delinquencies and making sure rules and regulations are followed.
Some high level things you would own but not limited to:
• You will manage the portfolio of the assigned geography.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of collections agents to achieve performance targets and objectives
• You will follow up with delinquent cases personally, along with the collection manager, along with the collection agencies team & ensure resolution of the cases.
• Also, responsible for collecting & resolving the Current bounce, 1-30, 31-60 & 61-90 cases. Must focus on collecting late payment & other charges.
• You will recruit collection agencies, repossession agencies, valuation agencies as required.
• You will recruit advocates as required.
• You will have collection & legal knowledge of secured & unsecured business.
• You will have relevant legal knowledge to use the same recovery & collection tool.
• You will have proper MIS & account management knowledge.
• You will be open to operating from home & without the presence of an office.
• You will be excellent in written & oral communication skills.
• You will have the ability to interact with the senior management team in case of requirement.
• You will have the ability to understand statement of account, repayment schedule & foreclosure of the loan accounts.
• You will be an efficient leader, must believe in the spirit of teamwork, must maintain the decorum of the office, must follow the reporting hierarchy, must follow the entire laid down policy & Process of collection.
What you would possess already:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Years of Experience - 4+ yrs.
• Proven experience in collections management within the financial services industry, preferably in a fintech or banking environment.
• Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to drive strategic decision-making.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements governing collections practice
