#### Team Overview

Firki is Teach For India's Online Teacher Training Portal: a world-class, open-source blended learning program for teachers across India to access, use and transform their teaching practice. It focusses on general pedagogy, is designed for school leaders/coaches, in-service, and pre-service educators, to improve their practice and student outcomes. Firki aims to reach out to 3,00,000 users by 2026 through the teacher training portal across India directly impacting around 60 lakh children.


The long term vision for Firki is to be the most accessible and effective route to a high-quality alternative certification in India. Firki takes a 70/20/10 approach to teacher training in which 70% of the learning happens through the on the job experience of being a teacher in the classroom, 20% through coaching, mentoring and communities of practice, and 10% through coursework (online portal).


#### Responsibilities

As Coach, In Service Programs:

• Oversee planning and execution of Firki Build More Leaders Online Flagship programs:
+ Lead the plan and execution of Firki Teacher Leader Program in online format.
+ Identify different ways of outreach for the program.
+ Work with the impact study team to monitor the growth of Firki alumni.
+ Identify ways to engage the alumni and continue their learning journey.
+ Work with the School leader/Coach to execute alumni engagement initiatives.
• Design and execute Firki Build More Leaders Offline Flagship programs:
+ Envision and design the offline version of Firki Build More Leaders Flagship programs.
+ Create a progression plan for 3 years to create 2500 leaders in the next 3 years.
+ Work alongside the Coach, In service programs to plan and execute the details of the programs.
+ Create content for the offline execution of the program and translation of content when needed.
+ Identify cities for pilot programs in 2025-2026 and work with relevant stakeholders.
+ Work with city teams to identify a consultant for the translation and execution of the program.
• Being a Firki team member:
+ Actively participate in all team calls.
+ Lead team calls and course feedback calls when needed.
+ Represent Firki when needed.
+ Lead the work of the In-service vertical.

As a People Manager:

• Building a robust pipeline of talent to lead the organization.
• Managing and coaching the team to ambitious outcomes.
• Driving engagement, growth, and retention of team members.
• Engineering and overseeing a monitoring and evaluation system , coupled with strategic direction, to guide our abilities to continuously improve.

As a Coach at Teach For India:

• Contribute to the team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities.
• Drive internal alignment and support for Teach For India's core Programs.
• Serve as an ambassador of Teach For India and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after committing time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply.
• Support with key organizational areas such as Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, Movement Building.

#### Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

• 4-7 years of full time professional experience.
• Experience of managing and coaching small, high-performing teams to achieving ambitious outcomes.
• End-to-end project management experience (from vision setting to execution).
• Experience of having collaborated effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups.
• Experience of having done online or offline trainings for a bigger audience (80+ educators).
• Ability to work well with a team, innovate and problem solve.
