Cnc/vmc/hmc Operator
Job Description
A CNC/VMC operator's job is to set up and operate CNC machines to cut metal and build parts:
• Prepare and operate : Set up the machine, read blueprints and drawings, and translate instructions into computer commands
• Maintain : Perform regular maintenance on the machine, and ensure it's operating safely and in accordance with company guidelines
• Machine : Work with various materials, including plastics, acrylic, and metals, to perform tasks like drilling, grinding, and milling
• Adjust : Make necessary changes to improve results while the machine is running
• Study : Review work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and orthographic drawings
• Inventory : Check stock levels, anticipate future stock, and place orders
• Update knowledge : Keep up with job-related knowledge
CNC stands for computer numerical control, and VMC stands for vertical machining center. CNC machines guide the cutting tools, while VMC parts are the tools that do the actual cutting.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
