CNC Turning operator

Translate specifications into computer commands so that machines can perform the correct functions.

Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the CNC machines. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements. Monitor machine operation for any problems or errors. Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages. Maintain detailed records for each job, including materials used and quality control results. Update CNC programs as needed. Adhere to safety and health regulations.

Turning Machine Operator

Overview

: Turning machine operators work with lathes and other turning equipment to shape and trim materials. They play a critical role in creating cylindrical parts.

Key Responsibilities

: Start the machine and move the feed lever to swing the rotating saw against the blank. Simultaneously start the chuck and blank revolving. Hold the saw against the revolving blank to trim and shape its periphery. Remove finished parts from the chuck.
