Job Description

:

A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the operations of CNC machines within a manufacturing or production environment. This role involves coordinating and supervising the work of CNC machine operators, ensuring the efficient and accurate production of machined parts. The CNC Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, meeting production schedules, and optimizing workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:

• Lead and manage a team of CNC machine operators.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members perform their duties effectively.
• Foster a positive and safe working environment.

Production Planning:

• Collaborate with production planners to schedule CNC machine operations based on production requirements.
• Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.

Quality Control:

• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure precision and accuracy in machined parts.
• Monitor production output to identify and address any issues affecting product quality.

Machine Maintenance:

• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule regular maintenance of CNC machines.
• Address machine malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.

Programming and Setup:

• Oversee CNC machine programming and setup activities.
• Ensure that CNC programs are optimized for efficiency and accuracy.

Safety Compliance:

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members adhere to safety guidelines.
• Conduct regular safety training sessions for CNC machine operators.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and any incidents.
• Generate reports for management on production efficiency, quality metrics, and any issues requiring attention.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
• Stay informed about advancements in CNC technology and recommend upgrades or new equipment when appropriate.

Communication:

• Facilitate effective communication between team members, other departments, and management.
• Address any concerns or conflicts within the team promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in CNC machining and programming.
• Leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machine operations and maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
