Job Title: CNC Bending Machine Operator - Stainless Steel (SS) Operator Job Summary: The CNC Bending Machine Operator - SS Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC bending machines to fabricate and form parts from stainless steel. The operator ensures that parts are produced to exact specifications and quality standards, while adhering to safety protocols and production schedules. Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Operation:
- Set up CNC bending machines according to job specifications and blueprints.
- Program CNC machines to bend stainless steel parts to required dimensions and tolerances.
- Load stainless steel sheets or bars into the machine and secure them properly.
- Operate CNC bending machines and monitor the bending process to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect and measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Compare finished parts to blueprints and specifications to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to correct any deviations from specifications.
- Maintain a log of inspection results and report any quality issues to the supervisor.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC bending machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions and issues.
- Report major machine problems to the maintenance department for repair.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including quality and safety standards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including setup times, production quantities, and downtime.
- Complete required production reports and submit them to the supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and any issues.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to optimize machine performance and reduce waste.
