Write the next chapter of your ABB story.This position reports toSenior Treasury ManagerYour role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to drive complete, accurate, and timely completion of accounting activities for the assigned area (e.g., reporting, consolidation, etc.) within the General Accounting (GA) team. Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal guidelines, procedures, and external regulatory requirements. You will also showcase your expertise by overseeing, reviewing, and/or supporting the month-end close process including account reconciliation, preparation of journal entries, balance sheet review, etc.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
This role is contributing to the Motion BA Function Finance in Bangalore. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Treasury Manager.
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Ensures compliance with O2C E2E Credit Risk Policy, and related policies, procedures/ supporting documents, and internal controls defined by Global Process Owner (GPO).
  • Proactively manages third-party customer portfolio while supporting business for informed decisions.
  • Subject matter expert on credit risk topics and supports the local Business Area (BA)/Divisions, providing credit decision & recommendations based on solid rationale.
  • CCM should consider meeting with customers together with salesperson as appropriate.
  • Accountable for preparation and time bound delivery (before risk review meeting) of credit risk assessment and related material for projects and sales frame agreements.
  • Ensures credit risk assessments and define appropriate credit risk mitigation, as needed; for new requests as well as existing customers. Also, provides assessment on consortium partners, suppliers of domestic domicile, as requested by Head GRCM and/or BAs.
  • Submits Credit Approval Requests to Head GCRM for final credit decision on: Large Credit Limits, Projects, Sales Frame Agreements, and Rescheduling of outstanding trade receivables with amount >= USD 10 million or equivalent.
  • Document and store decisions on credit risk, including Head GCRM\xe2\x80\x99s decisions as applicable, in a local database/SharePoint and/or CFIN (if applicable), ideally linked to respective Customer/Group.
  • Provides special analysis as required, e.g. cross-border customer risk exposure, risk patterns of certain geographies, industries, categories of customers, payment and mitigation tools.
  • Establishes the Local Credit Committee (LCC) involving representation from major business divisions. Conduct the meeting at least once in quarter and share LCC material and minutes with Head GCRM.
This role is graded at GGS 11.Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven work experience as Credit Manager or more than 5 years of relevant experience in fundamental credit risk analysis of corporations and financial companies, or project risk management. Financial Acumen.
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash end-to-end process, including the identification of the customer, credit risk evaluation, credit terms and conditions, customer billing, cash application, collections and dispute management.
  • Interdisciplinary and networked thinking, strong interest in understanding the inherent complexity and dynamics of countries and industries (including changes in regulatory frameworks) and their relevant impact on corporate and financial counterparty credit risk profiles.
  • Collaborative. Ability to interact, negotiate with different stakeholders. Motivated to train and drive change. Team player.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work towards tight deadlines, demonstrating high degree of expertise and commitment. Confident in making decisions.
  • Focus on error free processing, problem resolution, and delivering performance that meets or exceeds Service Level Agreements.
  • Experience in implementing, managing, monitoring and reporting for large processes and projects.
