Introduction:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of practical networking experience, a strong understanding of cloud services (especially AWS), and a passion for technology to facilitate the seamless operation of our network infrastructure. As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining our complex cloud and on-premises network systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance.
Job Duties:
- Ensure the security and integrity of our network platforms, including compliance with relevant controls.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues while managing fleet security and maintenance.
- Operate independently in ambiguous situations, adhering to established standards and practices.
- Research and implement network improvements to address deficiencies.
- Deploy and automate maintenance for Windows client/server infrastructure.
- Maintain and support LAN/WAN connectivity across various platforms and protocols.
- Respond to network incidents, troubleshoot, and resolve issues effectively to minimize downtime.
- Monitor network performance and maintain network documentation for design and processes.
- Automate tasks to improve efficiency and reduce repetitive work.
- Work within the Agile framework to manage workload and prioritize tasks.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure network compliance.
- Maintain minimal backlog and technical debt within service level agreements (SLAs).
- Hardening of internal processes against security threats.
- Facilitate infrastructure system maintenance and upgrades.
- Manage network assets and procure network circuits as needed.
- Provide on-call support for escalated issues.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills across various IT disciplines.
- Advanced knowledge of IEEE 802 standards and core networking protocols.
- Proficiency in documentation, governance procedures, and policies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Cisco networking equipment and Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
- Familiarity with change management processes.
- Experience with server and desktop virtualization platforms (VMWare/Hyper-V).
- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, DevOps Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services integration and deployment.
- Proficiency with tools such as Okta, ServiceNow, JIRA, AD, Slack, and Google/AWS Workspaces.
- Understanding of network security and compliance policy implementation.
- Knowledge of the ITIL framework.
- Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., PRTG, Splunk, SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud networking administration.
- Familiarity with Identity Access Management (IAM) tools and practices.
- Relevant Cisco Certifications (CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, Wireless, CCSP) preferred.
- Project Management experience with methodologies like Scrum, Agile, Kanban.
- Advanced networking skills across Windows, Mac, Linux client environments.
