It's You & Western Digital. Together, we're the next BIG thing in data.We are seeking a well-rounded Cloud Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will assist with Architecting, planning, maintaining, implementing, and optimizing our cloud environment in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure. Your skills will be used to leverage and promote cloud native solution and support our engineers to utilize Cloud base services effectively.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Moderate knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows, RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Linux/Unix distributions), specifically with regards to system builds, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding in using automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • Deep understanding of cloud native services. (compute/storage/networking/security)
  • Ability to architect solutions for various engineering teams
  • Must have basic programming or scripting skills in at least one language such as Python, Bash, Groovy, etc.
  • Configuring and managing cloud IAM policies with RBAC, SSO.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkin, Bitbucket, etc.
  • Ability to configure monitoring and observability of cloud resources to ensure optimal usage.
  • Good troubleshooting skills related to network and security issues within the cloud
  • Participate in some On-Call support including but not limited to weekends, holidays and after-business hours as required to service the need of the business.
  • This position is based in India but is required to have flexibility to overlap with US business hours to support global customers and attend morning or evening meetings.
  • Excellent in creating technical documentation.
QualificationsRequired:
  • 10+ years of work experience with hands-on technical experience related to system administration and cloud engineering
  • 5+ years architecting cloud native solutions.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and GCP cloud platforms is required particularly on the IaaS services, IAM, and security aspects.
  • Moderate experience on AWS is preferable but not a requirement
  • Understanding of Kubernetes-based architecture and implementation.
  • Strong experience using Docker, AWS EKS, Rancher, Google GKE, etc.
  • Experienced in implementing security features such as LDAP, ADFS, SSO, SSL, etc.
  • Able to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Able to lead small projects and multi-task while ensuring to meet deliverables and date commitments.
  • Experience developing code in at least one high-level programing language to support Infrastructure as a Code.
  • Moderate experience using Python or other programing language.
  • Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect / Google Cloud - Architect / Azure Administrator (Solutions Architect level preferred)
