Close and control (C&C) Finance team is a high professional, high performing Global team, responsible for managing and maintain financial reporting to support business decisions. The Haleon C&C GPO The role of GPO is to act as Champion, Owner, and Custodian of the Global ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) template from a R2R and Controllership Finance perspective. In doing so, you and the GPO team are also responsible for the template process maintenance, design and the documentation of that process design. You will be accountable to the business for the definition and operational effectiveness ensuring the processes within your scope are designed to ultimately drive business benefit and to make it easier for employees utilizing these processes. Assessing external benchmark and best practice trends, as GPO you will support definition of the Haleon process vision, strategy, objectives and performance goals, ensuring the process vision is aligned with business and IT strategies. You will assess and evaluate the operating model required to effectively execute the processes within Close and Control Finance as well as understand the wider End to End Finance Operating Model (in partnership with stakeholder groups within and outside Global Finance Services). C&C GPO is expanding the team at the Haleon GCC, Bengaluru. This team will receive activities migrating from other regions. You will initially play a key part in ensuring the success of this project as GPO lead in Close & control. Your post-transition responsibilities will include - but non-exhaustively Build and manage a high performing team, building rewarding career development paths and robust succession plans Manage and lead the C&C GPO team; setting stretch objectives, driving performance and defining the strategic direction Build robust development plans to upskill and support career development within Haleon Embed and role model the Haleon culture and behaviours Be an ambassador for Global Finance Services (GFS) and C&C Define and refine the solution (i.e. system, process & data) by: Continually seek to standardise and simplify the ERP template and supporting processes to reduce ongoing business and implementation costs, whilst ensuring the template and process remains compliant with any legal, fiscal or regulatory requirements. Develop and present business case to relevant governance bodies for review and approval, ensuring system design meets business requirements. Partner with the business to prioritise template/ process change requests, assessing those changes to determine feasibility, business benefit and business prioritisation. Ensure that global template solution documentation is accurate and current. Maintain an oversight and support where necessary on training material (LSOPs, ebooks, Taxonomies etc.) Support the vision and help to define the roadmap to drive business benefit, continuous improvement and ease of process use for the end user. Define how Haleon will move from the current state to the desired future state (for the processes in scope) and drive continuous improvement Embed and grow organisational capability through maintenance of training and process documentation and monitoring end user support effectiveness Optimise extraction of solution value by: Monitoring operational efficiency and effectiveness KPIs (baseline and targets) - partnering with business and operational teams to take corrective action, as required Assessing process adoption and process adherence / compliance for relevant processes, working with Business Leads to trigger appropriate interventions, as required Verifying that business case benefits are realised for system, process and data related improvements Basic Requirements Finance professional with +15 years of experience Experienced finance professional with Period End Close and controllership capabilities Experience in managing the navigation of decisions and/or their execution through multiple parties in major, matrixed organisations Strong change leadership experience Senior stakeholder management skills and experience engaging business customers Prior experience in transformation and/or change programmes at global/enterprise level, with a track record of achievement in this role (typically more than 5 years of experience) Sound understanding of process simplification and standardisation and proven experience in global process roll-out Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to work flexibly within a matrix team Ability to think strategically at an operating model level as well as at a detailed process specific level. Ability to stay \'close to the ground\' to understand the \'real\' end-user experience and perspective Ability to coordinate several activities at once, quickly analyse and resolve specific problems Good knowledge of process design, lean sigma and other process improvement approaches across a global organisation; Ability to make difficult decisions in a timely manner Ability to lead a team and set direction Experience working in a large global organization Ability to work in cultural diverse teams and reconcile cultural differences Experience of managing enterprise level processes and / or systems Demonstrated process improvement and project management skills Ability to communicate and work with both business and technical resources to ensure delivery of desired process outcomes Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at various levels Experience working in cross-functional teams and across a matrix environment End to end mindset and approach to process improvement Disciplined, robust organisation skills, ability to plan & manage workload Change management experience Preferred Requirements: MBA or Accounting qualification CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent Fluency in Haleon finance processes and organisational structure Experience of working with outsourced BPO providers and technology/system providers Ability to understand data privacy aspects of the business process Knowledge of role design / segregation of duties and internal control requirements Subject matter expertise of the SAP template and integration points with other process areas FMCG industry experience GPO experience Care to join us.
