Position Title: Clinical Veterinarian

Location: Bhandup, Mumbai

Department: Veterinary Services/Animal Care

Position Overview:

The Clinical Veterinarian is responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to a variety of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. This role involves diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgical procedures, and advising on preventative healthcare measures. The Clinical Veterinarian will work closely with veterinary technicians, animal care staff, and other veterinarians to deliver comprehensive animal care.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care:

- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose health issues.

- Develop and implement treatment plans for a wide range of medical conditions.

- Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and other routine and emergency surgeries.

- Administer vaccinations and other preventive treatments.

- Prescribe medications and provide detailed instructions for follow-up care.

Diagnostics:

- Utilize diagnostic tools such as X-rays, ultrasound, and laboratory tests to assess animal health.

- Interpret diagnostic results and modify treatment plans accordingly.

Client Communication:

- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' health, treatment options, and preventative care.

- Provide clear and compassionate guidance to pet owners about health issues and treatment plans.

Record Keeping:

- Maintain detailed medical records for all patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

- Document all treatments, surgeries, and patient interactions.

Collaboration and Training:

- Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high standards of care.

- Participate in the training and mentoring of veterinary students and interns.

- Attend and contribute to staff meetings and continuing education opportunities.

Compliance and Safety:

- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing veterinary practices.

- Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are followed to protect both staff and animals.

Qualifications:

Education and Licensing:

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.

- Valid veterinary license in the state of [Insert State].

Experience:
