Job OverviewTo make clinical development more efficient by using analytics and domain/clinical knowledge to identify the optimal set of clinical trial sites and investigators leveraging IQVIAs datasets.The incumbent will manage multiple R&D analytics projects and a team of Analysts to deliver high quality analytics and strategic insight to support data-driven decision making to accelerate clinical trials The candidates analytical, inter-personal, creative thinking, business management and leadership skills will be called upon from day one.Principal Accountabilities

  • Proactively communicate with the business interface; understand the business context, project requirements and specific challenges.
  • Work with the team on a detailed project plan, use consultative approach in managing individual and teams assigned projects, develop data-driven project outlines with country analysts to support project requirements.
  • Strong analytic and collaboration skills to drive methodology homogenization and automation effort across multiple initiatives and offerings within the team.
  • Act as a SME to manage and mentor a team of Analyst with examples across the areas of business supported by CTA&SI team.
  • Bring all communications together, schedule interim deliverable checkpoints and raise flags for challenges.
  • Contribute as IQVIA data expert; develop best practices to predict/ identify an eligible patient pool for the indications of interest.
  • Think beyond the obvious and apply logic to data-driven mechanisms for effective strategy making and helping the R&D business.
  • Draw recommendations to improve productivity, and quality by detecting inadequacies and taking corrective actions.
  • Identify and explore public/ proprietary databases within the clinical/ real world community across geographies and develop proof-of concept frameworks.
  • Develop client/ stakeholder relationships and serve as key point of contact on multiple projects.
  • Enthusiastically drive (or provide support to) broader initiatives with the global colleagues.
Essential Experience
  • Masters degree in pharmaceutical / life-sciences/ biostatistics/ biochemistry/ biotechnology; or bachelors degree in information technology, computer sciences, or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of experience in data analytics or research (preferably healthcare/clinical) and consulting with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience leveraging healthcare real-world data assets to answer pharma business questions such as Clinical Patient Journey, Patient Analytics, Segmentation and Targeting, Clinical Trial Analytics, and Advanced Analytics
  • Must have worked with real-world and/or IQVIA data assets (e.g., claims, EHR/EMR, Citeline, patient registries) and general subject knowledge of other healthcare datasets is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare market in different countries, exposure to clinical development business is preferred.
  • Experience of working with global teams based across multiple geographies.
  • Must have prior experience in people and project management.
Technical Skills
  • Excellent data analysis skills to explore and QC new data assets, develop prototypes codes and methodologies to support existing and new use cases
  • Must have hands-on experience in SQL and Python (e.g., PySpark, Pandas, NumPy) programing languages supporting big data analysis and advanced analytics use cases
  • Experience and knowledge of developing complex data models using Machine & Deep learning algorithm (preferred but not must-to-have)
  • Experience & knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView (preferred but not must-to-have)
  • Expertise in MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Expertise in handling multiple tasks and an efficient project management is a must

  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels within IQVIA and with stakeholders
