Job Description
• Assessment and Diagnosis :
• Clinical psychologists assess students' psychological well-being by conducting evaluations and diagnosing various disorders, including mood disorders and anxiety disorders1.
• They use evidence-based techniques to identify students' unique needs.
• Therapeutic Interventions :
• They develop personalized treatment plans for students, utilizing therapeutic methods to address mental health issues.
• Techniques may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, counseling, and other evidence-based approaches.
• Collaboration :
• Clinical psychologists work closely with teachers, families, and other school-employed mental health professionals.
• They collaborate to improve support strategies, enhance school-wide practices, and coordinate services2.
• Progress Evaluation :
• They evaluate and report on student progress using psychometric tests and other assessment tools.
• Regular monitoring helps track improvements and adjust interventions as needed3.
