This role provides an opportunity to learn new types of tax laws, understand changes in tax laws and its implications, and building good working relations with cross functional/geographical teamsAs an Associate in the Client Tax Operations, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of withholding, reporting, reclaim filing and relief at source function in over 100 markets globally. You will be executing key business objectives, managing business risks for key client/partner relationships across the Corporate & Investment Bank. You will also prepare and review reclaim forms and liaise with the sub-custodians to ensure final submission to Tax Authorities. This dynamic role requires consistent compliance and controls, enhanced response to regulatory and market changes and operational excellence in our business processes and technology, providing you with an opportunity to grow and excel in your career.Job Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and timely completion of the Tax Reclaim filing process within the stipulated window. Act as the escalation point for local team members.
• Maintain a strong and stable operational environment with robust controls, checks, and balances.
• Update and present key metric information to management. Ensure a client-centric approach is core across the team.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations..
• Maintain good knowledge of end-to-end process flow, SOPs, and validation points. Stay informed about industry knowledge of International Tax reclaims processing.
• Influence technology on system enhancements and articulate change management initiatives to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process efficiency and implement them in a controlled manner.
• Make decisions about handling various critical business scenarios to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Undertake day-to-day operations within the team, act as the point of contact for the aligned country or line of business, ensure tax compliance obligations are met, adhere to control procedures, and regularly communicate with internal stakeholders.
• Assist with creating training documents and training staff on new and revised processes. Implement a control function platform, maintain procedure documents, and help drive a control-centric environment.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Graduate or Post-Graduate with at least 5 years of experience in operations.
• Possess at least 3 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree.
• Familiarize yourself with Taxation and Tax Operations for various markets.
• Drive results through a "hands-on" approach.
• Communicate enthusiastically and articulately with excellent verbal and written skills, ensuring clear, concise, and logical documentation.
• Maintain and operate in an environment with high standards of risk and control.
• Pay attention to detail and work effectively in a dynamic environment with conflicting priorities.
• Utilize strong analytical skills to review evolving market practices, assess oversight metrics, and identify trends.
• Demonstrate high emotional intelligence, with sound networking and influencing skills.
• Collaborate effectively as a team player while also proactively progressing multiple tasks independently.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Relevant Tax market knowledge or industry experience
• Knowledge of financial markets and banking preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau and UI path (preferred)
