About the Role:

Edify School, Chikkabanavara is looking for a committed and nurturing

Class Teacher for Grades 3 & 4

, with a primary focus on

English

. This is a central role responsible for guiding the overall academic, emotional, and social development of students. The class teacher will lead the learning process across subjects, ensure a well-structured day, and be the first point of contact for the students and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the

main facilitator for all academic activities

in Grades 3 & 4. Teach

English

in-depth while also coordinating with subject teachers for Math, EVS, and other areas. Plan and deliver

age-appropriate lessons

aligned with the CBSE curriculum and school methodologies. Focus on holistic development--academic, emotional, social, and behavioral--of each child. Conduct regular assessments, maintain student portfolios, and share timely feedback with parents. Build a

warm, disciplined, and inclusive

classroom culture that supports curiosity and collaboration. Collaborate with fellow facilitators and school coordinators to align on curriculum goals and events. Communicate proactively with parents via PTMs and daily/weekly updates. Contribute to school-wide programs, celebrations, and enrichment activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (preferably in English, Education, or a related field);

B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory

. Prior experience as a

primary class teacher

in a CBSE school is preferred. Strong command over English, both spoken and written. A warm, student-centered approach with excellent classroom management skills. Familiarity with experiential or activity-based learning methods is a plus.
