Job Description

The Civil Trainee Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the design, planning, execution, and management of water supply and sanitation projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) . The mission aims to provide potable water to rural households across India, and the Civil Trainee Engineer will contribute to ensuring effective implementation of water infrastructure projects while adhering to technical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Project Planning & Design Support :
• Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of water supply infrastructure projects (e.g., water treatment plants, distribution networks, storage tanks).
• Support the preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs), engineering designs, and cost estimates.
• Review and assist in the preparation of technical specifications for construction work.
• Site Supervision & Monitoring :
• Supervise the construction and installation of water supply systems, including pipelines, reservoirs, and pumping stations.
• Monitor the day-to-day activities on-site to ensure work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during construction activities.
• Quality Control & Documentation :
• Assist in maintaining records of materials, labor, and equipment used on the project site.
• Ensure that quality control measures are followed for all civil construction work.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of water supply systems.
• Coordination & Communication :
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and local authorities for timely execution of project tasks.
• Report on project progress to senior engineers and project managers regularly.
• Collaborate with other departments and agencies involved in the project to ensure seamless implementation.
• Training & Development :
• Participate in on-the-job training programs to enhance technical skills in civil engineering practices related to water supply and sanitation projects.
• Attend workshops, meetings, and field visits to understand the practical aspects of the JJM initiative.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?12,000.00 per month
