Job Description

A Civil Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of civil engineering projects, ensuring that they are executed according to specifications, on time, and within budget. This role involves managing teams, coordinating tasks, ensuring safety, and maintaining quality control throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Supervision:
• Oversee the daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that all activities are completed according to the project plan.
• Ensure adherence to engineering designs, safety standards, and project timelines.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, subcontractors, and other personnel on the site.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with the project's engineering drawings and building codes.
• Monitor work performance and ensure that proper documentation is maintained for inspections, tests, and approvals.
• Safety Management:
• Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment on the site.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to minimize hazards and reduce workplace accidents.
• Ensure that all workers are equipped with necessary safety gear and that they follow safe working practices.
• Team Coordination and Communication:
• Lead and manage a team of workers and subcontractors, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and report on progress.
• Troubleshoot problems on the construction site and find solutions to keep the project on track.
• Material Management:
• Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials to ensure that the necessary resources are available when needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure that materials are used efficiently.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of project activities, progress reports, and daily logs.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management and project engineers.
• Document any changes to the project scope or schedule, and manage the change order process.
• Cost and Time Management:
• Monitor the budget and help manage costs by minimizing waste and controlling resources effectively.
• Ensure that the project stays within the budget and meets deadlines by coordinating tasks and maintaining efficient workflows.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: A degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience: Typically requires several years of experience in construction or civil engineering, with a strong understanding of construction processes and site management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, project management software, and other relevant tools.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise workers and subcontractors.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with workers, management, and clients.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot discrepancies or potential issues in construction plans and processes.
• Safety Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?11,157.50 - ?40,000.00 per month
