Job Role : Design Engineer - Solar (Civil / Structural)

Reports to (Job \xe2\x80\x93 Role) : Design Lead ( Civil / Structural)

Reportee (Job \xe2\x80\x93 Role) : None

Minimum Qualification : B.Tech in Civil /M.Tech in Structural Engineering

Experience : 3 \xe2\x80\x93 8 years. Must have experience in Civil & Structural design aspects of Solar PV Plants, Wind Farm, Power Distribution Projects

Objective: The person shall be capable of complete design and detailed engineering of Civil

Structural Engineering of PV Solar Power plants, Wind Farm Civil BOP Works. The Design Engineer is capable of carrying out the entire design for a project or a set of smaller projects including co-ordination with other disciplines viz., Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical

Design Engineers shall work with a team of draftsman to manage the Engineering activities within budget, deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Timely review of the drawings developed by the draftsman

• Detail design of Civil and Structural components of Solar Plants / Wind Farms such as Module mounting Steel Structures, Wind turbine Foundations, Buildings, Road, Drain, Fence / Compound Wall, Grading and levelling cable Trenches

• Preparation and review of Pre-bid queries, DBR, BOQ & Scope of work for Proposal

Engineering & Project Engineering.

• Propose optimization Ideas during Pre-bid stage and also during project stage to reduce the Project Cost

• Ensure compliance to specification requirements

• Review of drawings and Documentation conforming to Quality systems and Check Lists

• Review of Vendor Offers and Documents

• Pre-Tender Engineering including estimation of BOM (Bill of Materials) and Offer Reviews

Technical Expertise:

Design Engineer shall be capable of executing the engineering activities for civil & structural

covering MMS Structures, Foundations, Wind Turbine Foundations, control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, inverter rooms, grading, roads and drainage, outdoor steel structures and miscellaneous works related to the Solar Power Plant. Design Engineer shall be able to review Vendor engineering documents with respect to Civil & Structural design

Proficient in Analysis & design Software: ANSYS, STAAD, ETABS

Operating Network

Internally: PEM, Design Lead, Inter-disciplinary Engineers (Electrical, MEP & Instrumentation), Draughts Person

Externally: Client (Site Execution, Engineering team), Vendors (Engineering Team)
