Position Title: Civil Store Executive Location: Head Office Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: The Civil Store Executive will be responsible for managing the inventory of construction materials and supplies at the head office. This role involves maintaining accurate stock records, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials to various construction sites, and supporting the overall procurement and supply chain functions. Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of stock levels, materials received, and materials issued.
Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile with inventory records.
Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supply for ongoing projects and timely replenishment.
Procurement Coordination:
Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials and supplies.
Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders.
Negotiate with suppliers for best prices and delivery terms.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed and organized records of all inventory transactions.
Prepare regular inventory reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding inventory control.
Communication and Coordination:
Liaise with project managers and site engineers to understand material requirements.
Coordinate the distribution of materials to various construction sites.
Address any issues related to inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or supplier delays.
Quality Control:
Ensure the quality of materials received meets the company\xe2\x80\x99s standards and specifications.
Report any quality issues to the procurement manager and follow up on corrective actions.
System Management:
Utilize inventory management software to track and manage stock levels.
Suggest improvements to the inventory management system for better efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in any related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the Civil construction industry.
Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Ability to work collaboratively with different departments and teams.
