Job Title - Civil Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer who will also take responsibility for on-site safety training. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in civil engineering principles combined with a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and procedures applicable to construction sites. This role requires the ability to ensure both project efficiency and worker safety through effective training and supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site safety inspections and audits regularly to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and implement safety training programs tailored to the specific needs of construction projects.
• Train and educate construction teams on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution phases.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, or near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to safety standards and regulations set forth by local, state, and federal authorities.
• Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, inspections, and incident reports.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies related to construction safety.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in civil engineering projects, with a minimum of [X] years in a similar role focusing on safety.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, regulations, and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and motivate teams.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies in construction environments.
