Profile - Planning Engineer
Qualification - BE / B.TECH - CIVIL
Salary - Upto 6.60 LPA
Experience - Min. 4+ yrs. in Highway & Bridges Project (must knowledge of MS Project and , Primavera Basic and Cash Flow , Budgeting)
Location - Ranchi
The planning engineer is responsible for developing detailed project plans that outline the tasks, timelines, and resources required for the completion of the project. This includes creating work breakdown structures (WBS), scheduling activities, and establishing milestones.
They identify the resources needed for the project, including manpower, equipment, materials, and budget allocation. They ensure that resources are efficiently utilized to meet project objectives.
Planning engineers develop project schedules using software tools like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. They sequence project activities, estimate durations, and create Gantt charts to visualize project timelines.
Planning engineers work closely with cost estimators to develop project budgets and monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle. They track costs, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure the project stays within budgetary constraints.
Cash Flow Management
Forecasting cash flow requirements based on the project schedule, resource allocation, and budget.
Monitoring cash inflows and outflows to ensure that the project remains financially viable.
Identifying potential cash flow gaps and proposing strategies to address them, such as optimizing payment schedules or securing additional funding if necessary.
Working closely with finance and accounting teams to reconcile project expenses and revenue with cash flow projections.
Integration of Cash Flow in Project Planning
Incorporating cash flow considerations into the project schedule to align payment milestones with the availability of funds.
Adjusting resource allocation and scheduling to optimize cash flow, such as staggering purchases or subcontractor payments to smooth out expenditure peaks.
Using MS Project to create cash flow reports and visualizations that illustrate the timing and magnitude of cash inflows and outflows throughout the project lifecycle.
Cost Control and Budget Management
Monitoring project costs and expenditures in alignment with cash flow projections and budget allocations.
Analyzing variances between planned and actual costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Updating project budgets and forecasts based on changes in scope, schedule, or resource requirements, and communicating these updates to stakeholders.

Pay: ?600,000.00 - ?660,000.00 per year
