The position of Civil Engineer is the key position in these BIDs.Missions/Main Duties:

  • Develop and update digital maps for urban planning, transportation, drainage, and utility networks.
  • Analyze topographic, hydrological, and geotechnical data to support planning decisions.
  • Assist in land suitability analysis, zoning, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Design and plan roads, drainage, water supply, and sewerage networks using GIS.
  • Optimize routes for transportation and utility networks based on GIS analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with local planning codes, safety regulations, and sustainability guidelines.
  • Use GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) alongside civil engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Convert GIS data into CAD-compatible formats for engineering design.
  • Perform spatial analysis for flood risk assessment, soil stability, and land development.
  • Provide GIS-based recommendations for infrastructure development and land use planning.
  • Ensure GIS-based designs comply with national and local engineering standards.
Profile/Skills:
  • Bachelor`s Degree in Civil engineering with 15 years of experience.
  • Experience in site assessment, geotechnical investigation, infrastructure design and development, structural design, construction management, scheduling, budgeting and quality control.
  • At least 2 completed projects in Sikkim/Hilly/North Easten States.
  • Conduct field surveys and inspections to validate GIS data accuracy.
  • Work with surveyors to integrate GPS, remote sensing, and LiDAR data into GIS.
