Job Overview:

We are seeking a Civil Engineer with a strong background in interior design, CAD drafting, preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQ), and project reporting to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded skill set to contribute to both civil engineering and interior design projects, providing technical expertise, precision, and effective project management throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Civil Engineering Design & Planning:

Develop and review civil engineering designs for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Perform site assessments, inspections, and evaluations to ensure optimal design solutions.

Interior Design Support:

Collaborate with the interior design team to ensure the integration of civil design elements with aesthetic and functional interior features.

Provide structural and civil engineering input for interior layouts, finishes, and materials.

CAD Drafting:

Create and modify detailed drawings and blueprints using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) for both civil and interior projects.

Ensure accuracy and alignment with design specifications, standards, and codes.

Bill of Quantities (BoQ) Preparation:

Prepare detailed BoQs for materials, labor, and costs based on project drawings and specifications.

Ensure that BoQs are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with the budget and scope of work.

Project Reporting & Documentation:

Generate and maintain regular project reports detailing progress, risks, budgets, and timelines.

Provide technical reports, status updates, and recommendations to project stakeholders and clients.

Assist in the preparation of tender documents, contracts, and project proposals.

Coordination & Communication:

Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure seamless project execution.

Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Conduct inspections and site visits to ensure work is executed according to design specifications and quality standards.

Ensure that all projects comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree is a plus).

Proven experience in interior design, CAD drafting, and BoQ preparation.

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

Solid understanding of building codes, construction standards, and project management principles.

Experience with project reporting and documentation.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and cost estimation practices.

Knowledge of software like MS Project or Primavera is a plus.
