Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Planning:

• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations.
• Prepare detailed drawings, models, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Project Management and Supervision:
• Oversee the construction of steel-related infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Supervise construction teams to ensure that all work meets the specified standards.
• Ensure quality control, testing, and inspection of materials and workmanship.
• Site Analysis and Surveying:
• Conduct site assessments and surveys to determine the feasibility of construction projects.
• Evaluate soil conditions, topography, and other environmental factors to ensure safe and efficient designs.
• Collaborate with geotechnical engineers to ensure proper foundation designs for heavy steel structures.
• Structural Integrity and Safety:
• Ensure the structural integrity of steel plants and other infrastructure by performing calculations and simulations.
• Develop and enforce safety standards during the design and construction phases to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety guidelines.
• Monitor construction processes to ensure safety procedures are being followed.
• Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work with architects, electrical, mechanical, and other engineers to develop integrated plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate project needs, provide solutions, and adjust designs when necessary.
• Act as a liaison between the company, contractors, regulatory agencies, and clients.
• Sustainability and Environmental Considerations:
• Implement environmentally friendly practices in the design, construction, and operation of steel plants.
• Ensure that projects adhere to environmental laws and sustainability goals.
• Propose and develop solutions for minimizing the environmental impact of steel production and related processes.
• Maintenance and Upgrades:
• Support ongoing maintenance and expansion of steel production facilities.
• Analyze aging infrastructure and propose improvements or upgrades to enhance productivity and safety.
• Conduct periodic inspections and evaluations of existing structures and equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred for advanced roles).
• Experience : 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
• Software Proficiency : Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, or other relevant structural analysis software.
• Knowledge : Strong understanding of steel structures, construction practices, materials science, and civil engineering principles.
• Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Project Management : Experience in managing large-scale industrial projects, including budget, timeline, and team coordination.
• Safety Awareness : Familiarity with construction safety protocols and standards.
