Job Title: Civil Draftsman

Job Summary: The Civil Draftsman is responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering projects using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role involves collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure accurate and precise representation of designs. The draftsman must adhere to industry standards and project specifications while maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drawing and Design:
• Prepare detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure.
• Utilize CAD software to create accurate and precise drawings.
• Incorporate specifications, materials, and dimensions into drawings.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss and resolve design issues.
• Coordinate with other draftsmen and designers to ensure consistency and accuracy in drawings.
• Quality Control:
• Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Make necessary revisions based on feedback from engineers, architects, and clients.
• Ensure all drawings are properly documented and filed.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Prepare reports and documentation as required by project managers and clients.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a civil draftsman or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
