Job Objectives:

• Lead and manage the civil design process for solar projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with other departments such as electrical, mechanical, and environmental teams to integrate civil designs seamlessly into the overall solar plant design.
• Oversee the design of key civil components, including foundations for solar panels, access roads, drainage systems, fencing, and other site infrastructure.
• Ensure that the designs consider factors like soil conditions, load-bearing requirements, and potential seismic activity.
• Ensure that designs adhere to local, state, and national building codes and regulations.
• Manage permitting processes and ensure environmental compliance in the design phase.
• Incorporate safety and accessibility standards into all designs.
• Lead a team of civil engineers and designers, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Oversee cost estimation and budget management for civil design aspects of solar projects.
• Perform site assessments to evaluate the suitability for solar power plants.
• Manage geotechnical surveys and soil testing to inform the design process.
