Key Responsibilities:

• Custom Development & Automation:
• Develop custom features, tools, and workflows for Civil 3D using .NET (C#, VB.NET) and AutoCAD APIs (ObjectARX, Civil 3D SDK).
• Automate design processes, data handling, and repetitive tasks to enhance productivity.
• Integration & Data Management:
• Build integrations between Civil 3D and other platforms (e.g., GIS systems, databases) for seamless data exchange.
• Work with document management systems like Autodesk Vault to support efficient data management.
• User Support & Training:
• Provide support for end-users, troubleshoot issues, and enhance custom tools.
• Create training materials and conduct training sessions on new workflows and tools.
• Collaboration & Requirements Gathering:
• Work closely with engineers and designers to understand project needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest Civil 3D features and Autodesk developments to ensure best practices are followed.
• Testing & Quality Assurance:
• Conduct testing and debugging of custom solutions to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
• Implement error handling, logging, and ensure tools are stable and scalable.


Qualifications:



Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D: Knowledge of design tools like corridors, grading, alignments, and surface modeling.
• Programming: Strong experience with .NET (C#, VB.NET) and AutoCAD API (ObjectARX, Civil 3D SDK).
• Software Development: Expertise in object-oriented programming, version control (e.g., Git), and software design patterns.
• API Integration: Experience with API development, integration, and automating workflows within Civil 3D.
• GIS & Data Integration: Familiarity with GIS tools, data transformation (ETL), and integrating with other systems is a plus.


Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on Autodesk Civil 3D customization.
• Experience developing custom tools or add-ins for Civil 3D and AutoCAD.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Autodesk Civil 3D or AutoCAD development certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit or InfraWorks integration with Civil 3D.
