Job Description


  • BE/BSc/BCom/BA degree or equivalent Bachelors degree
  • 2 to 10 years of Production support experience preferably in Finance Domain
  • Good knowledge of application support
  • Working knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languages, plus an interest in learning other coding languages and skills as needed
  • Working knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
Technical Skills required:

  • Windows and Linux OS and basic System Admin
  • Databases : Oracle/Sybase/Cassandra/MS SQL
  • Monitoring tools : Geneos , Dynatrace , Splunk , Grafana or experience of any other monitoring toolsets
  • Application Performance Monitoring : AppDynamics , Dynatrace , Splunk or experience of any other APM toolsets
  • Cloud technologies : AWS/Kubernetes or exposure to any cloud technology preferred
  • Scheduling tools : Autosys/ControlM
  • Scripting : Shell , Python
  • Ticketing System : ServiceNow & Jira (preferred ) or usage of any other Change , Incident , problem or Service management tools
  • Awareness of Software Development Life cycle , DevOps, SRE preferred
  • Collaboration tools : Symphony, Confluence SharePoint etc
  • Usage of automation and analytical tools etc
The successful candidate will:-

  • Do BAU monitoring , Leverage and improve monitoring & alerting capabilities to ensure application SLAs are met
  • Perform Incident, Problem and Change Management activities
  • Manage priority incidents and leverage cross-functional teams to quickly eliminate impacts
  • Escalate issues/Risks effectively when necessary across supporting framework
  • Troubleshoot Key technical issues or escalate and work with appropriate technology teams to provide solutions
  • Effectively perform and document root cause analysis of issues
  • Aggressively respond to service requests from Client facing support teams, Operations partners, etc.
  • Manage application and infrastructure to maximize stability and resiliency.
  • Manage, track and validate all changes to the Production, Disaster Recovery environment
  • Strong focus on automation and processes. Design, implement, improve and utilize key monitoring tools
  • Develop, test and debug automated tasks (Apps, Systems, Infrastructure)
  • Troubleshoot priority incidents and facilitate blameless post-mortems
  • Work with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases
  • Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
  • Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns
  • Participate in the weekend support coverage on a rotational basis for planned maintenance activities and unplanned call outs
  • Work on assignments with minimal direct supervision
  • Perform daily/weekly health checks of the application, job schedules and infrastructure supporting the application
  • Develop scripts to automate repeatable manual tasks
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery events and Major Event Changes
  • Ensure infrastructure has adequate capacity and are refreshed on a periodic basis
  • Maintain system documentation and provide production metrics reporting
  • Work in partnership with other regional teams for effective hand over of items and avoid potential incidents
