About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Credit Portfolio Management Senior Manager to lead the Asset Backed Securitization & Lending (ABS&L) team in India. Role and Department Overview The role is for the Team Lead for the Asset-Backed Securitization & Lending (ABS&L) team, a part of the Structured Products Group that is aligned to the CIB (Corporate and Investment Banking) Front Office Support organization in India. Wells Fargo\'s ABS&L teams globally provide direct structured lending (warehouse and term financing) and capital market solutions to companies that originate / invest in consumer (such as auto loans, credit card receivables, Telecom handset receivables, etc.) and commercial assets (aircraft, shipping containers, timeshare, and others). The India ABS&L team works as an extension of the global ABS&L team, supporting across the spectrum of activities. CIB Portfolio Management Senior Manager is a leadership role. The incumbent will lead the India ABS&L team and will be accountable for partnering with the U.S. ABS&L leadership as well as WFIP CIB leadership to own the strategy and delivery of the ABS&L team in India. You will be leading the India ABS&L team that provides support to the global ABS&L business of Wells Fargo. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to - Functionally lead the team and the core activities that will be delivered by the team reporting into this role. The India ABS&L team works as an extension of the US ABS&L team and core deliverables include: Providing expertise and coverage for 15 distinct asset classes for providing direct structured lending (warehouse and term financing) and capital market solutions to companies that originate / invest in commercial assets (aircraft, shipping containers, timeshare, and others) and consumer assets (auto loans, credit card receivables, Telecom receivables, etc.). Reviewing monthly servicer/collateral reports received from clients for completeness & accuracy and monitor the underlying collateral performance. Preparing quarterly surveillance decks summarizing above key information and terms for the entire ABS&L portfolio. Financial spreading and performing quarterly credit analysis of the clients with detailed credit write-up of both public and non-public companies. The credit write-up includes business (operating), industry, and financial analysis (including forward-looking liquidity, debt schedule and performance to plan analysis) to assess the creditworthiness of borrower/servicer/parent Assisting US-based partners in preparing and drafting of annual credit reviews, as well as providing need-based support in conducting financial analysis for pipeline deals. Preparing tearsheets to evaluate financial performance of the lessees (counterparties to WF borrowers) based on top exposure concentration within the aircraft and shipping/ container portfolio Enabling regulatory submissions and reporting like Basel related reporting for the covered transactions Provide leadership to the India ABS&L Team of professionals, including providing performance feedback, coaching, and mentoring to ensure their development and growth in the organization Collaborate with the US and India leadership teams to develop and implement strategies that will ensure an effective delivery and growth of the India ABS&L team Communicate effectively across all levels of organization to ensure alignment with company strategy and goals Ensure that all activities within the India team are conducted in accordance with the company policies, procedures and ethical standards (including Risk, Compliance and HR policies) Formulate and execute talent acquisition and talent retention for the India ABS&L team, including both campus and lateral hiring Lead and drive transformation/efficiency/process improvement projects Required Qualifications: Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in Business administration, Finance, or related field, i.e., MBA, CA, M.Com, CFA / FRM or an equivalent qualification Around 15 years or more functional experience in multiple asset classes for securitized products - origination support, credit analysis and underwriting ability, and familiarity with Debt Capital Market products Thought leadership, development of strategy, growth planning and global delivery. Experience in a similar global setup preferred Team management and managerial experience of 3 years or more preferred with a proven track record of leading teams of 20+ members Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills Experience in change management, transformation projects, process efficiency, etc. would be an added advantage. Motivated self starter, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and ability to multitask across multiple competing deliverables in a fast paced environment.
