Function Overview

Party Reference Data Operations team supports compliance and manages and maintains reference data to ensure that our customers, employees, and lines of business are in adherence with firm standards and required regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validation, Creation and Maintenance of standalone party and their profitability hierarchy
  • Support maintenance parties
  • Identifying and Cross Referencing respective external identifiers for a party such as Legal Entity Identifier (LEI), Bureau Van Dijk (BVD) and internal identifiers such as JPMorgan Identifiers for Instruments and Issuers
  • To ensure that BAU is processed as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • To be proactive in identifying process and knowledge gaps, and effectively manage escalations
  • Prioritize and manage projects requests in conjunction with BAU requests
  • Conduct and record weekly team meetings and raise all best practices
  • Identify opportunities for increasing operational efficiencies
  • Ensure that the team has effective Quality Check process in place
  • Should display an appreciation of control, quality and risk related issues. Ensure existent controls are followed by team
  • Interact and communicate with the business partners / requestors on regular basis to help them manage their expectations
  • Interact with the team on daily basis, conduct one-on-one meetings with each member
  • Should manage training needs of the team along with ensuring completion of the mandatory targets
  • Performance management, conduct appraisals, complete action plans for people development
  • Provide Daily / Weekly / Monthly Metrics
  • Ensure updating of SOPs/ Issue Logs/ Exception Logs
  • Participate in special projects revolving around data clean-ups, process improvement analysis and reporting
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and related business experience required
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services or related industries and preferably in Reference Data
  • Ability to work independently and support the function
  • End to End Reference Data Creation and Maintenance experience
  • Good Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail and good Analytical Skills
  • Change/Automation mindset
  • Flexible to shifts and should be able to deliver as a part of the team
