Job Description

• Menu Development:
• Design and create innovative and authentic Chinese dishes.
• Develop and update menus in collaboration with management.
• Ensure that dishes are well-balanced and creatively presented.
• Food Preparation:
• Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
• Utilize traditional Chinese cooking techniques such as stir-frying, steaming, and braising.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
• Ingredient Management:
• Source and select high-quality ingredients, including fresh vegetables, meats, and specialty Chinese ingredients.
• Maintain inventory of ingredients and manage ordering and stock levels.
• Kitchen Management:
• Supervise and train kitchen staff in Chinese cooking techniques and kitchen safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Oversee food preparation and cooking to ensure compliance with recipes and standards.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct regular taste tests and quality checks on dishes.
• Adjust recipes and cooking methods as necessary to improve flavor and presentation.
• Handle customer feedback and make adjustments to recipes based on preferences and dietary requirements.
• Cost Management:
• Monitor and manage food costs and waste.
• Develop and maintain budget-friendly recipes without compromising quality.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Participate in staff meetings and provide input on kitchen operations and menu planning.
• Customer Interaction:
• Occasionally interact with customers to understand their preferences and provide recommendations.
• Ensure that customer special requests and dietary restrictions are accommodated.
