Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes, including stir-fries, dumplings, noodles, and soups.
• Develop and design Chinese menu items, incorporating traditional and contemporary techniques.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
• Manage inventory and ordering of Chinese ingredients and supplies, including specialty items like sauces and spices.
• Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of kitchen equipment used for Chinese cooking.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff in Chinese cooking techniques and recipes.
• Stay updated with current trends in Chinese cuisine and incorporate new ideas into the menu.
Skills Required:
• Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or similar role in a Chinese restaurant.
• Expertise in preparing traditional and modern Chinese dishes.
• Knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, such as wok cooking, steaming, and braising.
• Familiarity with Chinese ingredients, sauces, and spices.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining traditional flavors.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage kitchen operations effectively.
Additional Requirements:
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices specific to Chinese cuisine.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong leadership skills to manage and train kitchen staff.
