Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Map My Crop Company Overview: Map My Crop is an innovative SaaS startup revolutionizing the agriculture industry by providing cutting-edge solutions to farmers. Our platform leverages advanced technologies to map and optimize crop management, offering a comprehensive suite of tools for precision farming. Position Overview: Map My Crop is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and guide our Product Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end product delivery, from architecture and design to implementation. As a key member of our leadership team, the CTO will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our company. Responsibilities: Lead the design and technical architecture of our SaaS platform. Drive the end-to-end product delivery process, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet business objectives. Adopt and institutionalize best practices in DevOps to enhance efficiency and scalability. Bring innovative approaches and solutions to technical challenges, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Skills and Qualifications: Must-Have Skills: Proficient in Python, with experience in Django or FastAPI frameworks. Strong background in Web Services and REST API development. Experience with GeoDjango is a significant advantage. In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL-PostGIS and other databases such as MySQL and SQL Server. Understanding of threading limitations in Python and multi-process architecture. Solid grasp of fundamental design principles for scalable applications. Proficiency in code versioning tools and experience with CI/CD processes. Exposure to Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional Agile teams. Familiarity with Web GIS technologies (e.g., ArcSoftwares, PostGIS). Soft Skills: High commitment to client satisfaction and agility in adapting to changing requirements. Collaborative mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships. Strong work ethic and dedication to achieving organizational goals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven track record of leadership in a technology-focused role, preferably within a SaaS startup. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CTO or senior technical leadership position.
