Chief Technician

Job Overview :

We are looking for a skilled Chief Technician to join our team in Kollam/Punalur . The ideal candidate should have at least 1+ year of experience in technical services, machinery maintenance, or related fields. The Chief Technician will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring smooth operations within the technical department.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise and manage the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and technical systems.
• Lead the technical team , providing guidance and training to junior technicians and ensuring optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and maintenance performed on equipment.
• Ensure all safety protocols and operating procedures are followed during technical operations.
• Monitor the performance of equipment and machinery, recommending improvements or upgrades where necessary.
• Ensure proper inventory management of tools, parts, and materials required for repairs and maintenance.
• Assist in the installation, testing , and commissioning of new equipment or systems.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth technical operations across the organization.
• Prepare and maintain reports on equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and other technical operations.

Key Requirements :

• Male candidates preferred.
• Minimum 1+ year of experience in a technical role, such as equipment maintenance, machinery repair, or similar fields.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills .
• Excellent knowledge of technical systems, maintenance procedures , and safety regulations .
• Ability to supervise and lead a team of technicians.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills to maintain records and reports.
• Ability to work flexible hours and handle urgent technical issues when necessary.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with other teams and departments.
