Job Responsibilities
- Sourcing and Vendor Selection: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors to source the required goods or services
- Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Proposals (RFPs): Prepare and issue RFQs or RFPs to vendors, outlining the organization\'s requirements and seeking competitive bids
- Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other contractual conditions
- Purchase Orders: Create and issue purchase orders to selected vendors, specifying the details of the purchase, such as item description, quantity, and price
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth communication and timely deliveries
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to manage stock levels and avoid stockouts or excess inventory
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that purchased goods and services meet the organization\'s quality standards and specifications
- Cost Analysis: Analyze pricing proposals and conduct cost comparisons to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Contract Management: Monitor and manage supplier contracts, including renewals, amendments, and compliance
- Purchase Requisition Review: Review purchase requisitions submitted by various departments within the organization and validate their compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
