ROLE : Executive responsible for setting and executing the business strategy and branding, defining the growth strategy and innovations, safeguarding the mission of the company, spearheading operations, implementing the strategic initiatives, coordinating human resources and partnerships for smooth execution, aligning operational processes with company values, allocating resources to meet strategic objectives, defining the procurement strategy, managing equipment suppliers and vendors, mitigating operational risks, conducting financial planning, support with fundraising and funder reporting, cap table and ESOP management, directing the company\'s financial goals, objectives and budgets, setting and exemplifying the company vision, values and corporate culture, communicating with the board, and representing the company to external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of the Company and corporate governance to promote its success and that of its shareholders, including attending board meetings, compliance with statutory regulations and Company law matters; monitoring of the financial situation of the company; liaising with legal, financial, accounting and other advisors and mentors
- Define and lead the execution of the Company strategy, vision, mission and goals; identify new opportunities or business verticals; identify new geographies for expansion; determine scope, resource needs, timeline and milestones for new projects; decide allocation of resources between different business verticals
- Building the senior executive team; uphold the highest governance standards
- Modelling and setting the company\'s culture, values and behavior and ensuring the company maintains high social responsibility in its area of business; safeguarding the mission of the company
- Represent the company at key industry events, conferences and external forums; liaise, coordinate and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including investors, policymakers, government agencies, suppliers, local partners and media to ensure accountability of delivery on achievement of pre-defined goals and outcomes
- Act as a team leader, line manager and mentor to team members; assist in human resource need planning, recruitment and performance evaluation; set employee motivation, recognition and awards; monitor organizational goals and key performance indicators to ensure that the team is able to deliver effectively
- To formulate and implement company policies, code of conduct and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications :
- Post-graduate with a relevant degree (MBA, CFA, MPA, etc.) and 8-10 years\' work experience including at least five years in a senior management position in corporate, industry association, startup, social business or related ecosystem
- Experience working in a related industry or sector (energy, agriculture, social development, climate, water, etc.)
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; ability to build financial models
- Track record of investor mobilization, securing financing, etc.; experience of working with the international and domestic donor/investor community and development finance institutions; established investor network
- Significant experience with fostering, closing and servicing partnerships (essential); evidence of anchoring networks, forming, maintaining and developing partnerships in the development sector and engaging with multiple stakeholders (desired)
- First-hand experience or appreciation of technical, financial and policy issues facing the decentralized renewable energy (DRE) sector; knowledge of and experience in clean energy, agriculture, climate and / or development sectors (desired)
- Track record in building and managing large teams
