Honey Makhija Rice Pvt. Ltd. is a leading non-basmati rice exporter registered with APEDA, poised for exponential growth. With our eyes set on becoming the next unicorn, we are planning our IPO next year and are looking for a visionary leader to join our team as COO.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the end-to-end operations of our rice milling business. The ideal candidate will work closely with the CEO to scale operations, ensure efficient day-to-day management, and drive long-term growth for the company. The COO will play a pivotal role in our journey toward becoming an industry leader and preparing for the IPO.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of rice milling operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality control.
• Streamline production processes, optimize resources, and minimize milling losses.
• Introduce and implement best practices to maximize productivity and profitability.

2. Strategic Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute growth strategies and expansion plans.
• Support the company's IPO preparations, including compliance, reporting, and operational readiness.

3. Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire operational teams to deliver high performance.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

4. Financial and Business Growth:

• Monitor and manage operational budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
• Identify new opportunities for growth, including export market expansions and technology adoption.

5. Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and quality standards.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks proactively.

6. Visionary Leadership:

• Share a passion for building the next unicorn and contributing to the company's mission.
• Drive innovation to stay ahead in a competitive market.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred, especially from IIM or other top-tier institutions).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in rice milling or related agribusiness operations, with a proven track record of driving growth and operational excellence.
• Strong knowledge of rice milling technologies, processes, and quality control.
• Experience with IPO preparations and understanding of public company operations is a significant advantage.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to execute operational details effectively.
• Passion for scaling businesses and building a legacy brand.
