Role Overview:
As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Aska Group, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales and
marketing efforts to achieve substantial revenue growth. Leading a dynamic team of 20+ sales managers
spread across different Indian states, you will be responsible for devising and executing strategies to penetrate
government and institutional markets. Your strategic insights, leadership, and hands-on approach will be
instrumental in expanding our market presence and driving business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of 20+ sales managers across Indian states, ensuring alignment with company
objectives and sales targets.
- Drive revenue growth by formulating and implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies tailored to
government and institutional buyers, including defense, navy, army, police, oil PSUs, electricity boards, and
forest departments.
- Conduct timely sales review meetings to analyze performance, identify gaps, and develop action plans to
address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between sales, marketing, product
development, and customer service departments.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key government officials and institutional buyers, leveraging
your network and industry expertise to secure strategic partnerships and contracts.
- Regularly engage with sales managers to understand their challenges, provide support, and offer guidance to
overcome obstacles and achieve targets.
- Personally, visit customers in different parts of the country, meeting with top officials and stakeholders to
understand their needs, address concerns, and foster long-term relationships that drive revenue growth.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities
and proactively adapt strategies to stay ahead in the market.
- Formulate comprehensive strategies for marketing to different customer verticals within the government of
India, leveraging insights from market research and data analytics.
- Collaborate closely with our data analysts to understand the development scope in each Indian state,
identifying opportunities for revenue growth and market expansion.
- Manage concerns and challenges of sales managers, providing leadership and support to ensure they meet
and exceed targets.
- Ensure timely and proper execution of all steps involved in government orders, from lead generation to the
maturity of performance bank guarantees, maintaining high standards of efficiency and professionalism.
- Drive conversion of competitor product bids to Aska\'s specifications, demonstrating the superiority of our
products and solutions.
- Monitor, guide, supervise, and coordinate with all sales managers and after-sales teams on a daily basis,
ensuring alignment with company objectives and standards.
- Provide monthly sales reports to the company directors, offering insights into performance, challenges, and
opportunities for improvement.- Offer monthly feedback to the reporting director of each territory, fostering open communication and
continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain Aska\'s brand image and ethos nationally and internationally, ensuring consistency and
alignment with company values.
- Understand and develop marketing strategies for new products and collaborations, leveraging market
insights and industry trends to drive successful launches and partnerships.
These responsibilities further highlight the CMO\'s crucial role in driving the company\'s growth, ensuring
operational excellence, and enhancing Aska\'s brand presence and reputation in the market.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 20 years in sales and marketing leadership roles, preferably in the
manufacturing or technology industry.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and experience in selling to government
agencies and institutional buyers.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
to achieve ambitious goals.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government
officials, industry influencers, and business partners.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India as needed.
