Job Overview

The Manager of Business Transformation will lead strategic initiatives aimed at driving organizational change and improving operational efficiency. This role involves managing cross-functional projects, implementing process improvements, and ensuring the successful adoption of new technologies and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of business processes, and the ability to lead teams through change. The candidate's initial role will be ERP business transformation advocate with expertise in business functions (Order to Cash or Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Acquire to Retire, and Hire through Retire) to support business processes.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning and Execution:

o Develop and execute comprehensive business transformation strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.


o Identify opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency gains.


o Will drive initiatives with all facets of the organization and have a macro view of the business needs with the ability to deep dive into various areas.


o Assist in determining the role each function and key business partner will play during the digital transformation and develop a strategy to achieve desired business capabilities


Process Improvement:

o Identify existing inefficiencies, potential improvement opportunities, and critical differentiating business requirements.


o Implement process enhancements and best practices to drive productivity and quality.


o The individual should have the ability to bridge the business readiness capabilities of various functional areas with the systems capabilities to optimize usage of technical platforms.


Project Planning and Execution:

o Lead the execution of SAP S4 HANA as the SPOC in India to support implementation and other projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.


o This leading role will co-partner with program leadership and will support from start to finish the transformation of client's current environment to a new ERP ecosystem.


o Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, operations, and other business units to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.


o Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones.


Stakeholder Management:

o Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather requirements, communicate project status, and address concerns.


o Understand user pain points and partner with software vendors to ensure solutions are designed to resolve pain points and drive efficiency and automation.


o Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs are met throughout the project.


o Providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues.


Resource Management:

o Allocate resources effectively to support project activities, including internal team members, consultants, and vendors.


o Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as needed to optimize productivity and efficiency


o Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.


Risk and Issue Management:

o Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery and develop mitigation strategies to address them.


o Proactively monitor project activities, identify deviations from the plan, and take corrective action as necessary to keep the project on track.


o Document and escalate risks and issues as appropriate, and work with stakeholders to resolve them in a timely manner.


Quality Assurance:

o Ensure the quality of deliverables meets the established standards and requirements.


o Conduct regular reviews and inspections to verify that project objectives are being met and that any deviations are addressed promptly.


o Implement best practices and methodologies to optimize the implementation process and enhance overall project quality.


Change Management:

o Design and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions during transformation initiatives.


o Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing training as necessary.


Other:

o Manages Cut-over and monitors projects during Hypercare to ensure uninterrupted operations.


o Contribute to defining best practices for program deployment and user training to ensure a consistent and efficient implementation process.


o Performs project postmortem reviews to measure success of projects.


o Other duties as assigned.


o Travel - International and Domestic as needed.


Qualification o Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
o Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable
o Knowledge of LEAN concepts and Six Sigma a plus
Experience o Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on automation and IT implementations


o Strong and tested project management skills including stakeholder relationship management, sponsor expectation management, risk management, change management


o Demonstrated history of working in Business Transformation, ERP Implementation, and Master Data Management projects.


o Experience with SAP modules in a pharmaceutical setting required. SAP S/4 HANA knowledge a plus.


o Strong knowledge of business functions (Supply Chain/Sales/Finance)


o Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and with high quality


o Strong understanding of business processes and best practices, with the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives


o Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or SAP Solution Manager


o Experience with agile and waterfall project management methodologies


o Experience with global cross-functional projects across different geographies and the flexibility to work in different time zones
