Requirements:
A graduate degree in Civil Engineering with 15-20 years of experience in the construction industry, including a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience related to developing unconventional solutions for critical project activities
(or)
A Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering with 10+ years of academic/industrial experience after obtaining the Ph. D. degree: with demonstrated ability to propose, execute and publish/patent purpose-driven research /innovations
Roles and responsibilities:
- Develop and execute high-impact innovation strategy and roadmap aligned to strategic business goals and growth priorities of the company.
- Establish the company as a recognized innovation leader among customer and industry groups to build brand, and attract & retain talent.
- Maintain relationships with universities and organizations that conduct research in areas of interest to the company and identify ideas for prospective application in the construction operations.
- Collaborate with senior executives within the organization to devise a systematic methodology for development & evaluation of new ideas and facilitate unhindered progress.
- Identify external companies that may accelerate innovation and market access, through partnerships and acquisitions.
- Ensure timely and successful commercialization of innovation initiatives.
- Obtain intellectual property rights for the innovations.
- Track and report innovation metrics and business impact on a regular basis.
- Knowledge transfer within the organization on new solutions and innovations.
