Vision Flying Training Institute is a leading institution specializing in comprehensive flying training programs. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Ground Instructor to lead our ground instruction team. The Chief Ground Instructor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality ground instruction that prepares aspiring pilots with the essential theoretical knowledge and skills required for successful careers in aviation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Supervision:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the ground instruction team, ensuring instructional quality and consistency.
- Supervise and mentor ground instructors, fostering professional growth and development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance instructional effectiveness.
2. Curriculum Development and Maintenance:
- Oversee the development, review, and updating of course curricula and instructional materials.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulatory requirements and industry standards in curriculum design and delivery.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to enhance course content and instructional methods.
3. Instructional Delivery:
- Deliver advanced and specialized ground instruction on complex aviation subjects such as advanced aerodynamics, flight planning, airline operations, and human factors.
- Utilize innovative teaching techniques and educational technologies to optimize learning outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate instructional delivery to maintain high standards of teaching excellence.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to uphold instructional standards and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews of instructional programs to identify areas for improvement and enhancement.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of instructional activities, student performance, and compliance records.
5. Training and Development:
- Facilitate professional development opportunities for ground instructors to enhance their instructional skills and knowledge base.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in aviation education.
- Lead workshops, seminars, and training sessions for instructors to promote continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Chief Ground Instructor or similar leadership role in aviation education.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aviation theory, regulations, procedures, and instructional techniques.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate instructional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including instructors, students, and regulatory authorities.
- FAA Ground Instructor Certificate with Advanced and Instrument Ground Instructor ratings preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, Education, or a related field; Master's degree is advantageous.
