We are looking for a Senior Finance Leader to join our Mumbai team in India.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

• Building and developing the future Finance team, focused on delivering results against ambitious and value driven goals
• Ensuring all internal and external financial reporting and filings for all SIG\xe2\x80\x99s Indian entities are completed accurately, timely and are fully understood in the context of the business\xe2\x80\x99s operations
• Managing the tax accounting aspects of these entities in partnership with the International Tax teams (including income tax, GST, transfer pricing) as well as filing of the returns with the tax authorities
• Managing the management reporting function.
• Consistently innovate and evolve the processes.
• Coordinating with Auditors and Tax advisors.
• Managing the treasury requirements for the business, ensuring robust cash, non-trading FX management, optimising cash return / liquidity while maintaining a high standard of control and accuracy
• Managing the record keeping and operational requirements of SIG\xe2\x80\x99s banking relationships and controls
• Driving various technology transformations through to smaller process efficiencies. Partnering with other Control teams and global offices to ensure initiatives are best practice and fit for purpose
• Helping to further enhance the Control Framework across Finance to ensure risks are identified, mitigated, and controlled
• Preparation of financial statements, ensuring harmonization and compliance with IND AS. Assistance in Performing month-end close activities including revenue & expense accruals
• You will be responsible for the full suite of financial and management accounts for multiple Asia Pacific entities
• You will have the opportunity to form close relationships with stakeholders both onshore and offshore and play a key role in the evolution of the Accounting and Finance teams

What we\'re looking for

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Finance, Commerce or Business
• Chartered Accountant or equivalent
• 10+ years of industry experience within stock broking firm or financial services/investment bank/ capital markets firm.
• Local experience in India financial markets
• Detailed technical accounting, statutory reporting, regulatory capital and taxation rule comprehension with experience in advisory and implementation
• Demonstrated experience in meeting deliverables in a high performing environment
• Strong attention to detail with experience in operational activities
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to package information in a clear and concise manner
• Excellent problem solving & analytical skills
• Proven ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders
• Proven experience in automation tooling, keeping abreast of the latest technological innovations in their field
