Job Description


Chief Financial Officer - Chandigarh

- Managing the structuring, consolidation, and analysis of financial data; developing budgets, forecasts and other financial reports for specific organizational subdivisions, i.e., departments, regions and units

- Managing the treasury function with responsibilities including long & short term funding, credit & cash control, foreign exchange management, economic & industry comparisons, business MIS and reviews, and strategic & annual planning

- Preparing proposals & rigorous follow-ups and meetings with banks (from Manager to CGM levels) for appraisal

- Establishing a working relationship with bankers, suppliers and workers; negotiating settlements and restructuring financial liabilities with bankers, suppliers & statutory agencies

- Conducting industry research & analysis; developing understanding of underlying trends affecting equity capital markets.

- Undertaking financial analysis, internal & regulatory reporting and forecasting functions; administering long-term planning which includes maintenance, cost reduction, regulatory and strategic projects.

- Understanding new business/changes in existing business, analysing impact thereof on financials and suggesting accounting treatment; optimizing utilisation of capital and cash flow; monitoring ROI & impact thereof on financials and suggesting accounting treatment; optimizing utilisation of capital and cash flow; monitoring ROI & P&L for optimum Returns

. - Formulating annual budgets and conducting variance analysis to determine difference between projected & actual results and implementing corrective actions.

- Spearheading & developing the business forecasting & financial modelling to help short-term and long-term planning of the organization; administering the generation of financial forecasts and business plans based on analysis.

- Designing & implementing systems, policies & procedures to facilitate internal financial and process controls.

- Preparing & presenting business & financial reports to stakeholders & board presentation for performance review.

- Identifying & recognizing areas for improvement within a company, implementing necessary changes to enable the business to perform to its optimum capability while minimizing the overall risks

.- Mergers and acquisition coordinating with investment partners and identification of merger and acquisition opportunities in support of the company\'s strategic plan and working closely with the legal teams for negotiation, execution and closure of acquisition. - Fund raising through IPO and Right issues, Private placement of Debentures, Working capital funding, External commercial Borrowings, Commercial paper floating etc

- Adept in Treasury, Foreign Exchange Management, Working Capital Management, HR, Legal, Company law administration, Planning and procurement and MIS.

Desired experience and skillset :

- Preferred Qualified CA.

- Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or in a senior financial leadership role

- Strong financial analysis, planning, and modelling skills

- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

- Experience in strategic financial management, including financial strategy development and execution.
