Role Purpose:Role Purpose:Financial Services India - Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) is responsible for leading accounting operations, auditing, financial reporting, compliance to IFRS/US-GAAP and local country GAAP accounting standards, SOX reporting, taxation, control processes, receivables and financial systems in Financial Services India to ensure the highest level of integrity and accuracy. Given the nature of Financial Services business operating in a highly regulated environment, it is highly important to ensure that the financial controls are pristine and deficiency-free.Major Accountabilities:Primary and Secondary duties:

  • Partnering with the Financial Services India CFO in identifying improvements to operational processes and execution to enhance shareholder value
  • Managing the monthly accounting closing activity to ensure timely and accurate completion consistent with CNH Industrial policies and calendars
  • Responsible for Legal Entity Statutory Financial Statements in compliance with statutory and tax laws
  • Presentation to Management of actual results and supervision of monthly reporting packages
  • Regulates and implements a timely, full and accurate set of accounting books of the entity reflecting all its activities in a manner commensurate with the relevant legislation/regulations and subject to internal deadlines set by the CNHI Global CFO
  • Coordinating and ensure the administrative, fiscal, financial and accounting management for CNH Capital India
  • Setting guidelines in order to improve operations and administrative processes
  • Monitoring and improving actual financial reporting ensuring compliance with financial policies
  • Leading quarterly Legal Entity Review and ensure appropriate and timely follow-up for issues recorded on issues log
  • Participating in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IFRS, U.S. GAAP
  • Managing external auditor relationship legal entity by maintaining direct contact with external auditors on accounting and reporting issues
  • Ensuring monthly accounting close and year-end audits are effectively completed on a timely basis per corporate requirements
  • Seeking to enhance internal controls and maintaining compliance with SOX requirements for internal controls over financial reporting
  • Support the local Financial Services CFO & MD, FS APAC CFO and the FS Global CAO
  • Manage all tax-related aspects of FS India entity with Taxation Office
  • Manage all RBI reporting aspects of FS India entity with the RBI
Primary and Secondary duties continued:
  • Participate in reporting to external funding parties (banks, Trusts, etc.)
  • Supports the CFO in improving the company\xe2\x80\x99s ROE by focusing on reductions in the cost of capital, higher returns on financial investments and prudent management of financial risks
  • Collaborate with Treasury to ensure any Funding facilities are set-up efficiently to meet accounting and business requirements
Organisational Reporting, Authority & Revenue Scope:Typically reports to: Chief Financial Officer, Financial Services IndiaManagement scope (number of full-time employees): 0 will work closely with FS APAC CAO and local accounting team.Decision Making Authority: Refer to company DA MatrixDimensions:CNHI Capital India:
  • Receivables Portfolio of ~$230 million, revenues ~ $30 million, annual profit before taxes of ~$9 million
  • Annual retail originations in excess of $85 million, wholesale originations over $380 million
Qualifications, Skills, Experience etc.\xc2\xb7 Bachelor Degree required, Accounting, Finance, Business or related area\xc2\xb7 CA, CPA, CMA, MBA and/or CFA is preferable\xc2\xb7 5-10 years relevant experience in financial services sector (e.g. Banks, NBFC companies, big four accounting firms) covering a variety of diverse finance and/or accounting positions\xc2\xb7 Financial product knowledge including management and control of costs and pricing\xc2\xb7 Wholesale & Retail financing knowledge including understanding of equipment financing\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS/US GAAP Accounting Principles & SOX Requirements\xc2\xb7 Results oriented with strong integrity and honesty\xc2\xb7 Ability to cross-functionally lead and communicate effectively (oral and written) with all levels of management in a large, international, matrix organization\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated passion, energy, drive and work ethic\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated leadership skills, abilities and competencies as evidenced by record of increasing responsibility\xc2\xb7 Committed to continuous improvement of quality, quantity and timely delivery\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to make timely, fact based decisions\xc2\xb7 Team player, able to anticipate and adapt to changes in the business environment\xc2\xb7 An extensive amount of independent thinking is required\xc2\xb7 Language Requirement(s): English and Hindi
