Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced as well as Fresh Chemical Engineers specializing in process design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering principles and hands-on experience in designing and optimizing chemical processes. As a Chemical Engineer - Process Design, you will play a key role in developing innovative solutions and optimizing processes to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of chemical processes, including conceptual design, process simulation, equipment selection, and optimization.

Perform process calculations, mass and energy balances, and heat and material flow analysis to ensure process efficiency and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, researchers, and production personnel, to develop and implement process improvements and innovations.

Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new processes or process modifications, considering factors such as cost, safety, and environmental impact.

Design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and troubleshoot process-related issues to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and operating procedures.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in chemical engineering and process design.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field;

Maximum 5 years of experience in chemical process design, preferably in speciality chemicals or petrochemical industry.

Fresh Graduates with strong background in chemical engineering principles may also apply.

Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or ChemCAD.

Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, kinetics, and transport phenomena.

Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and standards, including safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience with process safety management (PSM) and hazard analysis techniques such as HAZOP and FMEA.

Knowledge of process automation and control systems.

Experience in scaling up processes from lab-scale to pilot-scale or production-scale.

Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
