Chemical Process Engineer / Chemical Alcohol Technologist for Distillery Project



We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical Process Engineer / Chemical Alcohol Technologist to join our team for the establishment of a grain-based distillery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes from the initial project stage through to full-scale production. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of chemical engineering principles, grain distillation processes, and project management skills to ensure the successful setup and operation of the distillery.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project team to develop the overall plan for the distillery establishment.
• Design and develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for the grain-based distillation processes.
• Ensure the integration of production systems for efficient fermentation, distillation, and maturation processes.
• Calculate and manage water balancing requirements for the distillery.
• Ensure during the project phase the integration and optimization of CPU and WTP processes for the production workflow.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors specializing in distillery equipment and materials.
• Lead and manage the project team, including engineers, contractors, and other professionals.
• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, resources, timelines and budget.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring expenditures align with financial plans.
• Oversee the completion of final project deliverables.
• Oversee the commissioning and start-up of distillery operations, ensuring all equipment and systems are fully operational and meet performance standards.
• Ensure all project documentation is finalized and handed over to the client.
• Conduct project reviews and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Distillery Work: 5 years (Preferred)
