A Chef or Cook is responsible for using their culinary expertise to create appetizing dishes for diners to enjoy.
Their duties include overseeing kitchen staff, tasting dishes before going to customers and restocking food produce as needed.

• Food preparation: Preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and arranging and presenting food.
• Kitchen management: Overseeing kitchen operations, including purchasing food and supplies, maintaining inventory, and training new employees.
• Communication: Communicating with kitchen staff to ensure they follow procedures, and with customers to address menu items or food allergies.
• Cleaning: Ensuring the kitchen and equipment are clean and properly maintained.
• Inventory management: Keeping track of inventory levels, ordering supplies, and monitoring food waste.
• Equipment maintenance: Ensuring that kitchen equipment is in good working order.
