: Chef - R&D NPD (Vegetarian Food Specialization)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Chef specializing in vegetarian cuisine with a strong background in food production and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing a variety of frozen and non-frozen vegetarian food products, powders, sauces, and other condiments. A proven track record of working in a food factory environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Product Development:
• Create and innovate recipes for frozen and non-frozen vegetarian food items, powders, sauces, and condiments.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and scalability of recipes for mass production.
• Manufacturing Process Oversight:
• Develop processes for large-scale food manufacturing.
• Ensure recipes and processes align with industry standards and maintain product quality during production.
• Food Safety & Quality:
• Implement and adhere to food safety and hygiene standards in recipe development and production.
• Ensuring compliance with food regulatory requirements.
• Ingredient Sourcing & Testing:
• Identify and test ingredients for product development, focusing on quality, shelf life, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality vegetarian ingredients.
• Process Optimization:
• Improve existing recipes and processes to enhance taste, texture, and production efficiency.
• Conduct trials and refine processes to minimize wastage and maintain consistency.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Culinary Expertise:
• A certified chef with professional culinary training and a specialization in vegetarian cuisine.
• Experience in creating and standardizing recipes for commercial use.
• Food Production Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a food manufacturing/factory environment.
• Hands-on experience in developing and producing frozen and non-frozen vegetarian food items.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of large-scale food production processes, equipment, and technologies.
• Knowledge of food safety standards such as FSSAI, HACCP, or equivalent.
• Ability to innovate while maintaining traditional flavors and methods.
Preferred Attributes:
• Experience in handling powders, sauces, and condiments manufacturing.
• Familiarity with vegetarian diets and plant-based alternatives.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
