North Indian Chef
Responsibilities:
North Indian Cuisine Expertise:
o Prepare a variety of North Indian curries, including:
Dal Makhani, Shahi Paneer, Kadhai Paneer, Mix Veg, Seasonal Veg, Butter Chicken, Rogan Josh etc.
o Understand and execute recipes accurately, adhering to established portion sizes and presentation standards
General Kitchen Responsibilities:
o Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed
o Follow all kitchen safety and hygiene regulations
o Assist with kitchen prep work, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces and marinating meats, paneer, chaap, vegetables, or as required
o Work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and for smooth meal service
o Contribute to menu development and innovation
o Provide excellent customer service by interacting with guests and handling complaints professionally, if needed
o Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and management
o Adhere to a flexible work schedule from 13:00 PM to 11:00 PM with a weekly off day
Tandoor Specialization •(Preferred, not mandatory)•
o Prepare a wide variety of tandoori dishes, including but not limited to:
Paneer Tikka, Chaap Tikka, Vegetable Tikka, Mushroom Tikka, Achari, Malai, and other Paneer & Chaap varieties, Rolls, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Seekh Kebab, Fish Tikka etc
o Maintain consistent quality and flavor in all dishes prepared
o Ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients according to food safety standards
o Clean and maintain the tandoor oven and surrounding work area
Qualifications:
Minimum 2~3 years of experience as a North Indian Chef (preferably with a focus on Tandoor) in a restaurant environment
Proven ability to prepare authentic and flavorful North Indian dishes with expertise in Tandoor cooking
Excellent knowledge of various marinades, spices, and cooking techniques for North Indian cuisine
Familiarity with Indian cuisine and cultural cooking practices, specifically focusing on North Indian regional dishes
In-depth knowledge of North Indian cuisine and preferably of Tandoor as well
Strong organizational and time management skills
