Chaat Chef •(Street Food Specialist)•
Responsibilities:
• Chaat Expertise
• Prepare a wide variety of popular Indian street food dishes, including but not limited to:
• Aloo Tikki, Dahi Bhalla, Golgappe (Pani Puri), Kathi Kebab, Pav Bhaji, Samosa Chaat, Bhel Puri, Dahi Puri, etc
• Master the art of preparing chutneys, sauces and other toppings specific to each chaat dish
• Maintain consistent quality and flavor in all dishes prepared
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients according to food safety standards
• General Kitchen Responsibilities:
• Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed
• Follow all kitchen safety and hygiene regulations.
• Assist with kitchen prep work, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces and marinating meats, paneer, chaap, vegetables, or as required
• Work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and for smooth meal service
• Contribute to menu development and innovation, focusing on introducing new and exciting street food options
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting with guests and handling complaints professionally, if needed
• Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and management
• Adhere to a flexible work schedule from 13:00 PM to 11:00 PM with a weekly off day.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2~3 years of experience as a Chaat Chef in a restaurant or street food stall environment
• Proven ability to prepare authentic and flavorful chaat dishes with a strong understanding of street food techniques
• Excellent knowledge of various ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques specific to chaat and street food cuisine
• In-depth knowledge of the different types of chutneys, sauces, and toppings used in chaat preparations
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
